BBA President

February 4, 2009

Dear Friends of the BBA,

When you have everything you need in the way of sound leadership, reaching favorable outcomes is followed by a straight forward planning strategy to obtain desired results.  This is by far the most memorable Black History Month of my life as I reflect on our US President making it quite historical.

I am always mindful of Dr. Carter G. Woodson who devoted a significant part of his life to preserve the history of blacks in America. Blacks are too often overlooked and ignored in public school history classes, which is why every moment of February should go to elevating the progress and contributions of blacks in America.

Black History's celebration in February began as Negro History Week in 1926, which was not too long ago, where Woodson purposely placed it to coincide with the birth dates of former President Abraham Lincoln (12th) and abolitionist and former slave Frederick Douglass (14th).

The Black Business Association is committed to highlighting economic contributions of black business enterprises.  Our work bridges supplier contracting and bidding engagement gaps between large and small enterprises.  Today, our economic recovery is multiplied twenty-fold when business outcomes result in full inclusion.

Empowering regards,
